After three strong successful years of the Salvation Army Gala by our direction, we have decided that this year the gala needs a year too cool off. Organizing such an event does take a lot of work and truly gets pulled together by the same small circle of fabulous volunteers. Everyone needs a break to come back stronger and refreshed in 2012. Events can burn out too, and we dont want the gala to become worn out. Lillice and Claude and their wonderful staff have been tremendous supporters every year and we thank them for all of their support and contributions, as the gala wouldn’t have been successful without them.
Please accept our apologies if you are disappointed in this desicion. It was a tough, trust us, very tough to make this call. But it really was for the best. However, if anyone out there would like the torch passed to them for a go at this party planning – we are all eyes and ears for an eager volunteer.
Much love and happy holiday partying!
Please give generously to the Salvation Army this year, as we all need to remember why we held the gala in the first place. There are people right in our community that depend and use the Salvation Army YEAR ROUND. Please help everyone in our community have enough food to eat.
